A global network of researchers

Getting involved

The success of AuthorAID depends on the involvement of its members. Whether you would like to publish blog posts, mentor others, contribute resources or speak at webinars – there are many ways to get involved! We call the people who actively contribute to the AuthorAID community “contributors”, which is then also recognized with badges on your profile. See below for more details.

[UPDATE: We will be adding more ways to get involved in March 2024 - keep an eye on our news updates for more details]

If you are a more experienced researcher and would like to contribute to AuthorAID on a more regular basis, and be involved in more strategic decision-making, you could join the stewards. Learn more about the stewards here. Researchers who have been with the stewards for a while and would like to assume fewer responsibilities but still want to be involved on an advisory basis are called “alumni”.

Community at AuthorAID

This is an overview of the different ways to be part of the AuthorAID community, what level of expertise people at each level usually have, what makes you eligible for each level, and what your benefits are! Please note that this is only a guide and not a rigid system – if you can think of other ways to get involved in or contribute to the AuthorAID community, please reach out at authoraid@inasp.info. We always welcome new ideas!
