AuthorAID Seed Grant winners announced

We are pleased to announce the awardees of our AuthorAID seed grants. These innovative projects will bring together researchers to establish a regional or disciplinary 'hub' in October to December 2022. This will initially involve inception meetings, needs assessment, and training events, with a view to build on the learning from these activities going into 2023, and building a deeper connection with the AuthorAID global community.

The winning projects are:

AuthorAID Nigeria Hub – Dr. Funmilayo Doherty (Yaba College of Technology) and other collaborating institutions

Data science skills and AuthorAID R Users club – Felix Anyiam (University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria) and Martha Alade (Women in Technology in Nigeria - WITIN)

Nepali women researchers Hub – Dr. Buna Bhandari (Tribhuvan University, Nepal) / Apara Innovations

AuthorAID Ghana hub - Pearl Adu-Nyako (Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital) & King Carl Duho (Dataking Consulting)

Mentorship and Scholarly Publishing AuthorAID Hub for Early Women Career Researchers in Kenya – Dr. Noah Naumih (Kenya Chemical Society), Aurelia Munene (Eider Africa), Eliphas Gitonga Makunyi (Kenyatta University)

‘African Community for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analyses’ (ACSRM) - Dine Roseline Dzekem (Rinda Ubuzima-Rwanda/University of Rwanda), Dr. Florence Nkemehule (University of Lagos), Fortune Effiong (TORASIF/University of Calabar)
