Biography:
Gnanaharsha is a PhD candidate, and Sessional Academic at the School of Design, Creative Industries Faculty - QUT and a Lecturer at the Department of Integrated Design, Faculty of Architecture, University of Moratuwa. He is an integrated designer who specialised in furniture/product and interior design. He runs his design consultancy firm and very keen on teaching creativity and design thinking. He is an accredited teacher in higher education. He has taught many subjects such as Theory and Principles of product design, Product Semiotics, Ergonomics, History of Art and Design, etc. He has served as; Chairman - Education and Training at the Sri Lanka Institute of Interior Designers (SLIID); Executive Committee Member of the Sri Lanka Association for Improving Higher Education Effectiveness (SLAIHEE); Secretary - the Alumni Association of Department of Integrated Design (AADID). And also, he was a member of the Design Confederation - Sri Lanka (DeCSL) and a Committee member of the Intellectual Property Advisory/ Assessment Committee (IPAC/IPaC) of the University of Moratuwa. He facilitates workshops on creativity, innovation and design thinking. Gnanaharsha has many links in the industry and closely works with the government institutions as a design consultant.
